Cosmetic surgery on the increase

Numbers of cosmetic surgery operations increased by 6.7 per cent last year, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, totalling more than 36,000.

Demand from men has increased dramatically, with an increase of 21 per cent overall. That includes numbers undergoing gynaecomastia, or “man boob” operations rising by 80 per cent.
