YORKSHIRE'S own "Millionaires' Row" is a more expensive place to live than ever despite the recession according to a national survey of house prices published yesterday.

Price comparison site Mouseprice.com revealed that the most expensive street in Yorkshire is Fulwith Mill Lane, Harrogate, for the third year running.

Average prices on the street, in the south east of the spa town, were 1,201,100, showing a tiny rise of 7,800 in the street's value from last year.

There are four streets in the rankings which have average values of over 1m, compared with five last year.

Yorkshire's place in the market is also underlined by having seven different postcode areas in the top 10 list, which is more than can be found in most other regions. More often than not, many of the most expensive streets are clustered together.
