Council faces weeks without a mayor
Calderdale Council could be without a mayor until the beginning of December.
Ann McAllister has decided to stand down due to health problems and in the meantime deputy mayor Keith Watson will take on her responsibilities.
But he has yet to announce whether he will take the mayor’s job, which will be subject to confirmation at a meeting of the council on December 1.
