Countess of Wessex honoured by Queen for 'personal' service
Sophie, who celebrated her 45th birthday yesterday, is to receive the recognition for her "personal" service to the Queen and the monarchy.
A Buckingham Palace source said: "The Countess is delighted and honoured for this recognition."

Hide AdThe order, founded in April 1896 by Queen Victoria, is given to people "who have served the Queen or the monarchy in a personal way", a Palace spokesman said.
It will be formally presented to mother-of-two Sophie – the wife of the Earl of Wessex – at a later date.
