Couple in street ‘race’ attack

Have your say

A husband and wife were violently attacked with bricks and a stick in front of their children in what police believe was a race-hate crime.

West Midlands Police said the assault, in Henn Street, Tipton, on Sunday evening, was “completely unprovoked”.

The injured man was still being treated in hospital yesterday.

Sergeant Stephanie Court said: “The family are understandably traumatised by their experience and I would like to appeal for anyone who witnessed the assault to contact me, in the strictest confidence.”
