Court date for Leeds thugs who ambushed Bradford City fans' train

EIGHT Leeds United fans will be sentenced on Thursday for attacking a train driver and a group of rivals fans at a West Yorkshire railway station.

The men, all from Leeds, will appear at Leeds Crown Court over the incident at Bramley Station in March 2009.

The Leeds fans laid in wait and attacked the train driver and a group of Bradford City supporters as a train bound for Bradford Interchange pulled into the station.

They are Ryan Rodley, 21, of Fenshaw Avenue, Morley; Joe Deering, 20, of Suffield Road, Gildersome; Joel Best, 19, of Brecks Lane, Kippax; Jack Atkinson, 20, of Whitebridge Avenue, Osmondthorpe; Wayne Johnston, 18, of Brooklands Lane, Seacroft; and Jordan Bleasby. 19, of Somerville Grove, Killingbeck.

Two 17 year olds who cannot be named for legal reasons will also appear in court.
