Crash victim's family pay tribute to daughter

RELATIVES of a 15-year-old girl who was killed in a car crash in North Yorkshire have paid tribute to her.

Natalia Wiley, from Pickering, died when the car she was a passenger in left the road before overturning on the A170 at Snainton on Saturday.

In a statement issued through North Yorkshire Police yesterday, her family said: "We are grieving the tragic loss of our beautiful, happy, confident daughter.

"She will be missed by all that knew her. The family would like to thank everyone for their help and support at this difficult time."

Two men arrested in connection with the crash which led to Natalia's death have been released on police bail while officers carry out further investigations.

A 21-year-old man, from Kirkbymoorside, who was driving a white Ford Fiesta that had been travelling with the car which overturned was arrested at the scene of the crash.

An 18-year-old man, from Pickering, who had been driving the Vauxhall Corsa which overturned, was arrested on Sunday, following his release from hospital.

He had been treated at Scarborough District Hospital for minor injuries which he suffered during the crash.

Police officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

The blue Vauxhall Corsa crashed at about 6.30pm on Saturday on the A170 Pickering to Scarborough road at Snainton, just before the junction of the B1258 to Yedingham.
