A19 closed after serious crash on the outskirts of York
Several people have been seriously injured in a crash near York.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed that the A19 was expected to be closed for several hours after a two-car collision in the village of Escrick.
All three emergency services are in attendance.
A number of people are seriously injured but further details have not yet been released.
