Alarm in Peaks as thieves target quad bikes

POLICE are advising people to keep their quad bikes and equipment secure after a spate of vehicle thefts and attempted thefts in the Derbyshire Peak District.

Twelve offences took place at rural areas in Charlesworth, Rowarth, Hayfield, Peak Forest and Whaley Bridge in the High Peak and Ashbourne and Hathersage in the Derbyshire Dales between October and December. Attempts were also made to break into a business premises selling quad bikes and all-terrain vehicles.
