Armed robber leaves empty-handed after raid in North Yorkshire village shop

The incident in Cross Hills, between Skipton and Keighley, at 7.55pm, ended without injury to anyone involved, according to North Yorkshire Police.

The hooded man entered the Spar shop carrying a kitchen knife and a plastic bag, police said.

He told a member of staff to fill the bag with money, but ended up leaving empty-handed.
