The 31-year-old was held in the Bolton area on Sunday night on suspicion of the murder of father-of-one Colin Pierre, of Gipton, Leeds.

Mr Pierre, also 31, known to friends as Craig, was discovered in a stream Gledhow
Valley Woods, Chapel Allerton, Leeds, by teenagers who were
on their way to school on March 11.

He is believed to have bled to death after being shot in what officers think was a targeted attack at about 2am the same day.

Trevor Isles, 48, of Highfield Green, Pudsey, and Ian Dennis Wilson, 36, of the same address, have both already been charged with Mr Pierre’s kidnap and murder and the kidnap of another man on the same date. They are awaiting trial.

The latest arrest follows a 12-day search for suspect Anthony Micah Pyke, 31, of Meanwood, Leeds.

BBC One’s Crimewatch programme featured the case last Wednesday and issued an appeal for information about Pyke’s whereabouts.

West Yorkshire Police have not confirmed the identity of the man arrested but say they are no longer looking for Pyke.

The arrested man remained in custody for questioning yesterday.

Four other people have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and enquiries are continuing.
