This was the knife being carried by a man as he walked around Leeds city centre last night.
British Transport Police said reports had been received about a man walking around with a weapon in his hands.
The 8in knife was seized when officers arrested him in Neville Street at around 9.45pm.
The 30-year-old man was later transferred into the custody of West Yorkshire Police.
A force spokesman today said that the man had been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
He is due to appear in court later this month.
