Attempt to steal from a shop is thwarted by staff

Two men in hoodies attempted to steal cash from a local shop but fled when they were disturbed by a second member of staff.

Police investigate an attempt to steal cash from a local shop.

Police have issued descriptions of the men they are now trying to trace and are asking for witnesses to get in touch.

The first suspect is described as white, six feet tall, aged between 17 and 22 and of slim build. The other is also white and of a similar age but five feet 6 tall.

Humberside Police said it happened in Victor Street, Grimsby on the evening of Tuesday 14 March at around 8.20pm.

When a second member of staff came into the shop the two men then left empty handed and rode away on bicycles in the direction of Oxford Street.
