Bodies of two women found in house

NO FOUL play is suspected in the deaths of two women whose bodies were found at a house in Halifax, police have revealed.

The bodies of the women, aged 56 and 69, were discovered at a house in Fenton Road, King Cross, at 7.20pm on Good Friday.

Police, who visited the house after a member of the public raised concerns, say a post-mortem examination has now been carried out and the deaths are not being treated as suspicious.

A file has been passed to the coroner for an inquest to be opened.

Detective Superintendent Mark Ridley of West Yorkshire Police said officers were called “to a report of a concern for safety for a person living at the address who had not been seen for some time”.

He said: “The bodies of a 56-year-old woman and a 69-year-old woman were found inside the property.”
