Body found in search for missing Guiseley woman

POLICE searching for a missing woman in Guiseley near Leeds have found a body in a pond in a local park.

Officers were called to Nunroyd Park, Guiseley, at 7.50pm last night in connection with the search for a missing 66-year-old from the local area.

A short time later a woman’s body was pulled from a pond within the park and taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary. She was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “At this stage there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and the matter has been referred to the coroner. “
