Breaking: Man arrested after two serious sexual assaults in Scunthorpe

The women were attacked between 7.15am and 7.20am yesterday in the area of Wells Street and West Street in Scunthorpe.

In both cases the attacker fled, after the women screamed.

He is described as white, in his mid-twenties, with blond hair. He wore light blue jeans and a pink or salmon top.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incidents and is in custody, Humberside Police said.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen in the area at the time to come forward.
