Hull-based Atom Brewery had been poised to launch their core ranges in cans in one of the major supermarkets. But thieves broke in to their warehouse on Wednesday afternoon and stole a "significant" amount of their Schrodingers Cat beer.On its Facebook page, Atom said: "Over the past few months we have been working hard to put our core range beers into cans, we had been planning to announce to everyone in the next few days that you will be seeing these across the UK at the end of this month."Sadly, today our warehouse was broken into and a significant quantity of our Schrodingers Cat cans have been stolen."As these are yet to be released, if you see any of these cans or someone tries to sell you them, please let us know so we can pass the information onto the police."Today sales manager Sam Welburn said they'd managed to get their first order out to a major supermarket "literally by the skin of our teeth." Perhaps unsurprisingly there is still no sign of the missing beer. He said: "The last two days have been interesting to say the least. The local companies we work with have pulled their fingers out. The canning company we work with in Manchester came in early so we could drive across and pick up a few more and Neill & Brown Logistics stayed open later to allow us to get the pallets across to them."
