tackle dangers

a CCTV picture has been released of the car police believe struck Sabah and Rayhan Saleem – leaving them for dead – in a hit-and-run tragedy in Leeds.

The image, right, shows a silver or grey Vauxhall Astra Mark IV that they believe was responsible for knocking the two children over as they crossed Brudenell Road, in Hyde Park, on Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the car is thought to have slowed down to see what had happened but then sped away from the scene at around 5.20pm.

Detectives from West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are still sifting through hundreds of hours of CCTV footage obtained from local businesses in the area.

Police are also hoping to speak to this woman, also pictured, who is believed to have witnessed the incident on Saturday.

They believe that the woman, who may live locally, could help them with their inquiries.
