Crimewatch appeal over 2008 rape of Doncaster 15-year-old

THE faces of two Sudanese men wanted over the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Doncaster town centre in 2008 will be shown tonight on BBC’s Crimewatch.

South Yorkshire Police will appeal to viewers for information relating to the whereabouts of Ibrahim Jumaa Abdulrahman and Abdulrahmu Chomou, who are wanted in connection with the incident in Doncaster town centre on Saturday 19 April 2008.

The men were arrested on suspicion of rape following the incident but failed to answer bail, according to police.

Since then, the force has carried out an “extensive search” for the men, including working with forces throughout the country as well as Interpol.

Both men lived in Doncaster at the time of the attack but their current whereabouts is unknown.

Abdulrahman, 33, also uses the first name Jamie and has links to Lincolnshire. He and Chomou, 27, are originally from Sudan.
