She disappeared on November 7, 1994, after visiting the Trades Club on Holme Street and buying corn flakes from the former Spar shop on Crown Street.

After a huge search her remains were discovered in the Rochdale Canal, near to the town, on April 12, 1995.

Every year her mother Geri has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

In April this year, on the 21st anniversary of the date her body was found, her younger sister, Juliet, who was a baby at the time, joined her mother’s appeal and spoke publicly for the first time.
