Police had blocked off the The Frenchgate Centre car park in Doncaster to keep motorists and pedestrians away while they dealt with the incident.

The car park was reopened just after 8am.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Following an earlier closure at the Frenchgate Centre car park this morning (Friday 15 July) due to concerns for the safety of a woman, it is now re-open. The woman is safe and well with officers.”
