Driver arrested after four pedestrians struck and injured in Hull

A BMW driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after four pedestrians were struck by a car in Hull in the early hours this morning.

Police said a blue BMW struck four pedestrians on Beverley Road at its junction with Eldon Grove at 3.45am today (Sat Feb 11).

All four pedestrians were injured. One suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.

Police said there was a driver and four passengers in the car, which collided with the pedestrians before coming to a stop.

The driver and all passengers of the car were arrested and remain in custody. The driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.

A Humberside Poloice spokesman said: "We are in the early stages of our investigations. Anyone who witnessed the collision that has not already spoken to us is asked to call 101 quoting log 85 of today."
