Drugs detectives seize £35k worth of belongings and arrest man in raid at quiet East Yorkshire village

Thousands of pounds' worth of vehicles, cash, designer clothes and other belongings - including a jukebox and a drugs press - have been seized in a raid by drugs detectives.

A team from Humberside Police carried out a warrant at a house on Church Lane, in the small East Riding village of Withernwick, yesterday (Tuesday).

A 35-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and money laundering.

The warrant was executed by Humberside Police's Operation Galaxy, which is cracking down on drug dealing in the county.

Assets seized from the property during the search included £2,000 in cash, a transit van, a VW transporter van and approximately £35,000 worth of property including a juke box, tools, furniture, designer goods, electrical items and a drugs press.

The man arrested has been released under investigation while the investigation continues.
