E-fits released of suspects 'who slashed man's face with knife'

A man needed surgery after being slashed in the face by two men who tried to rob him on a Bradford street.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the "nasty" attack on Wednesday April 12.

The two men pounced after the victim got out of his car on Intake Road, in the city, for a smoke.

They asked to use his lighter, but then produced a knife and demanded money.

The victim fled, but the pair chased after him, attacking him and leaving him with slash wounds and other facial injuries which also required surgery. 

Detective Inspector Craig McKay, of Bradford District CID, said: "This was a nasty incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who may be able to identify this men, or anyone who may have seen them acting suspiciously in the area around the time this occurred." 

The attackers were described as being "scruffy" and in their mid-twenties.
