Family appeals for help in finding man’s remains

THE family of a Grimsby man whose dismembered body parts were found scattered across the countryside have appealed for help in finding his remains.

Adam Vincent’s torso, an arm and a leg were found at Tetney Lock, near Cleethorpes, in March, but despite large-scale searches involving three police forces his head, other arm and leg have yet to be found.

His family have now appealed to anyone who may be withholding information to come forward.

The sister of 33-year-old Mr Vincent, Tracy Trigg, said: “It is hard to put into words how we all feel as a close family at this very sad time and we are all finding it very difficult to come to terms with the loss of Adam and in particular not being able to say our goodbyes. He was taken from us so cruelly and so suddenly leaving us all feeling like we are stuck in limbo unable to move on with our lives, until we or the police are able to find the remains of Adam.

“This isn’t just about the inquiry into Adam’s death, it is about us, Adam’s family asking the public for help. Someone out there who more than likely knew Adam will know exactly what has happened and where Adam’s remains have been taken, so please help us to find them.

“As a family we are not able to find closure until we can lay Adam to rest so please don’t keep this information to yourselves. It doesn’t matter who you tell or how the information comes forward, all we ask is that you help us to find the remains of Adam our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and grandson.”

Det Chief Insp Mark Oliver of Humberside Police, leading the investigation, said: “The circumstances surrounding the disposal of the body are extreme and have resulted in us conducting numerous fingertip searches across Lincolnshire and into West Yorkshire working closely with other police forces, but the key to us finding the outstanding remains rests with the people who may have known Adam or the people he associated with who may have disclosed what happened the night he died and where the disposals took place.”
