Father urges missing woman to get in touch

The father of a missing Hull woman has made an emotional appeal for her to get in touch.

Extensive searches have failed to find any sign of Diann Conboy, 47, of Ashthorpe in the city, who was last seen on December 20.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Walker read out a statement on behalf of the mum-of-two’s father, which said: “Di, If you read this, please it doesn’t matter what others say, it is nothing to do with them. It doesn’t matter what you have done or where you’ve been, all we want is for you get in touch with any of us just to let us know you are safe and well.

“Then we can get the help you desperately need.

“Don’t forget you’re still my bairn and I love you loads.”

Mounted police and volunteers have taken part in searches, most recently of the grounds of Thwaite Hall, in Cottingham.

Det Chief Insp Walker said no further searches were planned unless there were new leads.

There has only been one unconfirmed sighting of Diann, wearing waterproof clothing in the Ellerburn Avenue area of Hull, at 10am on December 23.

Police say Diann, who worked as a catering assistant at a special school, has not used her bank accounts since going missing. Her family has asked people to check sheds, garages and outbuildings.
