Four held in murder probe after man stabbed to death in York

Detectives are understood to be questioning two men, aged 29 and 34, and two women, aged 26 and 30.

A 49-year-old woman who was also arrested over the incident has been released on conditional bail.

The victim, who was in his forties, is believed to have been stabbed in the throat at a house in Stuart Road, Acomb, York. He made his way to nearby Middleton Road, and was then taken by ambulance to York Hospital with a police escort.

The area was sealed off all weekend while forensics officers examined the scenes.
