Four people arrested over death of 15-year-old York boy Josh Reeson released on bail

A 15-year-girl, a 16-year-old boy and a man and a woman, aged 33 and 37 respectively, were arrested in connection the death of Josh, from York, on Sunday (Sep 27).

North Yorkshire Police said they have been released on bail with conditions, pending further enquiries. Two other boys, aged 14, were released under investigation on Monday (Sep 28).

Yorkshire Ambulance Service were called to Hospital Fields Road in York at around 4am on Sunday, after a member of the public found Josh in an alley. It is thought he had been taking illegal drugs with a number of other people. The police were called at around 7am.

A statement from the force said: "Anyone who has any information which could help the investigation into Josh’s tragic death, or anyone who saw a group of teenagers in the Fulford area of York in the early hours on Sunday (27 September 2020) is asked to contact Police. Dial 101, press 1 and pass information onto the Force Control Room, quoting reference number 12200169915.
