Gang hunted after armed bank robbery in Leeds
GUNMEN escaped with a large sum of cash in a raid on a bank in Leeds this morning.
A gang armed with a handgun, hammer and crowbar burst into the premises of Barclays Bank on Manor House Street, Pudsey, just before lunch.
They threatened and hit one woman member of staff then forced their way into a staff area, grabbing money and escaping in a BMW car which was later found abandoned in nearby Longfield Court.
Police have appealed for witnesses, who are asked to call 0845 6060606.
