German gig-goer attacked in Scarborough after row over woman

A German man attending a gig in Scarborough was punched in the head several times after intervening when a man showed “unwanted attention” to his female partner.

The 44-year-old victim suffered minor injuries in the attack, which took place in the Ramshill Hotel, Ramshill Road, on October 10. Police have today released information about the incident.

The suspect punched him several times in the head before attacking the victim a second time, causing him to fall to the floor and knock over the woman he was with.

Police say the man and the woman, who were both from Germany, sustained minor injuries and have since returned to their home country.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack and have released an image of a man who they would like to speak with.
