Last Friday detectives in Dewsbury said they were worried about the safety of a man who may have been living in a purple tent found pitched on the river bank in the town.

Today they have issued a further appeal to trace a woman pictured shopping in Poundland in Dewsbury, who they are urging to get in touch with officers to confirm she is safe and well.

The woman pictured, or anyone with information about her identity, are asked to call Kirklees District CID via 101.

Issuing the original appeal to find the man, Detective Inspector Stef Wiseman of Kirklees CID said, “We are keen to speak to the man pictured to verify that it was him living in the tent, and that he is OK. If anyone can assist in identifying the man pictured, has seen or heard from him recently or knows where he is now, I would ask them contact Kirklees CID via 101. Enquiries are continuing.”
