Investigation after firearm and crash incidents in West Yorkshire

A van was damaged after a firearm was discharged in West Yorkshire late last night.

No-one was injured in that incident but West Yorkshire Police are looking for a vehicle which is thought to have been involved in a separate incident afterwards.

The firearm was discharged in Milner Road, Baildon at about 11.35pm yesterday causing damage to the side of a white Nissan panel van.

West Yorkshire Police say they would like to speak to anyone who saw a red or burgundy 4 x 4 style vehicle in the area. It is believed to have been involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Astra in Dockfield Road, Shipley a short time later. 

The occupants of the Astra attended hospital for treatment, but were later released.
