Jimmy Savile’s Leeds penthouse to be demolished

THE new owner of Jimmy Savile’s former home in Leeds has revealed plans to demolish the property.

The disgraced star’s fifth floor penthouse in a Roundhay apartment block has been bought by Leeds-based firm CXI 92 Ltd. The company has said it wants to remove every last trace of the serial sex attacker from the site.

A spokesman for CXI 92 said: “I can tell you that we are going to demolish the property and completely rebuild it before selling it or possibly using it as a rental property.

“We are going to demolish it in the next six months to two years.”

The spokesman said the work would not affect any of the other apartments in the Lakeview Court block. Savile died at the flat in 2011.
