She went outside to smoke and the suspect followed her and told her she needed to stand at the back of the building.

They walked down Vernon Street onto Percival Street and into the rear loading area shared by The Hedley Verity and Yates’s, where she was attacked.

The incident happened at about 1am on Sunday.

The man was described as white, about 5ft 7ins tall, of average build, with cropped, fair blond hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured T-shirt. When he met the victim he told her his name was “Jamie”.

Detective Inspector Phil Jackson, of Leeds, said: “While the CCTV image only shows the suspect from behind and at a distance we hope together with the time, location and physical description, including the possible name Jamie, that someone will know his identity.
