Leeds student attacks: 11 youths now questioned

ELEVEN teenagers have now been arrested by police investigating a series of street robberies in Leeds, many targeted at students.

The youths, aged 14 to 19, have been detained in connection with attacks in which large groups wearing masks attacked and robbed young people, many in the university district.

All the youths have been released on bail.

About 10 people were robbed or attacked in seven incidents within half an hour last Wednesday night. Two needed hospital treatment. Two weeks earlier, 16 people were targeted in similar incidents.
