Man, 81, charged with attempted murder in Bridlington

An 81-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in Bridlington.

Harry Harrison was arrested in the early hours of Friday 11 April after police were called to an address in Sewerby Headlands.

Mr Harrison had allegedly attacked his neighbour, Jamie Branch-Peard, with a kitchen knife in a dispute over noise.

Mr Branch-Peard was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with wounds to his neck, arm and stomach.

His injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

Mr Harrison appeared at Hull Crown Court on Wednesday 16 April and did not enter a plea.

The case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing at Hull Crown Court on Wednesday 18 June.

Mr Harrison was remanded in custody by Judge Michael Mettyear.
