Man appears in Leeds court accused of extreme left-wing terror charges

A 32-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with alleged left-wing terrorism offences

Dominic Noble, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, was charged with a total of 14 offences, including possessing documents likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, after he was arrested at his home last week.

Counter Terrorism Policing North East said Noble was arrested on June 2 as part of an “intelligence-led investigation into suspected left-wing terrorism”.

Noble appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Monday for a 30-minute hearing.

He is charged with offences contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

These are 13 alleged offences of the possession of documents likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism and one of viewing or accessing a document likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

Noble, of Hall Cross Grove, Huddersfield, was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey, in London, on June 26.
