Man attacked in vaping store by five machete wielding thugs who fled in car stolen from Leeds

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was attacked in a vaping store by five machete and axe wielding thugs.

The five masked men attacked the victim in a shop on Bradford Road in Huddersfield at midday on Friday, February 28.

The victim was left with serious injuries.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

After the attack, the armed men fled in a red coloured Nissan Note vehicle.

It was later found on Wasps Nest Road.

The car had been stolen from Yeadon area earlier.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the days leading up to the offence.

The registration at the time was: NJ61 NUB.

Two men aged 31 and 30 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

They have released on bail
