Man in hospital after stabbing in Leeds

A teenager has been arrested over a stabbing in east Leeds.

The incident involved two men and took place last night (April 23) on Lincoln Green Road.

One man, aged 41, was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested by police in connection with the incident.

Detective inspector Andy Welbourn, of Leeds District CID, said: “At 5.12pm yesterday police were called to Lincoln Green Road where a 41-year-old man had been stabbed.

“He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance. His injuries though serious are not considered life-threatening.

“A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently in custody.

“The victim and suspect are known to each other and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
