Man seriously injured after assault in Bradford

A 35-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after an assault in Bradford.

The man suffered head injuries after the incident on St Helena Road at around 12.15am on Sunday, September 20.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Detective Inspector Andy Howard, of Bradford District CID, said: “We believe the incident involved a number of people who had been attending an event at Buttershaw Working Men’s Club earlier that evening, and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened.”

A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and later released on bail.

Enquiries are ongoing.
