Man shot dead in Bradford drugs raid

A MAN has been shot dead during a police drugs raid at a house in Bradford.

Officers from West Yorkshire’s Local Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the address in Buckingham Crescent, Clayton, just after 1pm today.

Police said a struggle began as the officers - all unarmed - entered the house to conduct a drugs warrant.

A spokesman said: “On entering the property, a struggle ensued with one of the occupants during which a firearm was discharged. The occupant, a 49 year old man, received fatal injuries and died at the scene.”

The watchdog Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed and is attending the scene.
