Two men suffered serious facial injuries in as assault last night in West Yorkshire.

Detectives investigating the incident, which happened at Cross Church Street in Huddersfield at 11.50pm (Friday March 17), say it came after an argument between two groups.

The victims, aged 19 and 20, suffered serious facial injuries.

Det Con Kris Roberts, of Huddersfield CID, said today (Saturday): "We are investigating a reported disorder incident at this location late last night and would like to speak to any witnesses to help us build a clearer picture of what has occurred." 

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information as to the identity of those involved to contact police.
