Milmine was released on bail but moved to live at a friary in Dorset. Police went to the friary in April this year and seized another lap top and a memory stick which contained more illegal images. Heather Gilmore, prosecuting, said 119 illegal images and movies were discovered in total. The images featured the abuse of boys aged between three and 16 years of age.

Milmine, 47, was interviewed and told officers he believed the images he had accessed were all of adult males aged over 18.

He said he had obtained the images while searching for gay porn.

Milmine, now of The Society of St Francis, The Friary, Hilfield, Dorchester, pleaded guilty to ten offences of making indecent images of a child. Lindsey Lobley mitigating,, said Milmine had been moved from Leeds to Dorchester between the two sets of offences.

She said his work at the friary would not bring him into contact with children and he was willing to receive treatment to address his offending behaviour.

Milmine was made the subject of a three-year community during which he must take part in a sex offenders treatment programme.

Judge Sally Cahill, QC, said it was a concern that he had continue to offend after equipment had been seized from the property in Leeds.

She said: “I take the view that you need treatment.”
