More arrests made in murder inquiry

Detectives have arrested four more people, including a 16-year-old boy, in connection with the murder of a West Yorkshire man.

Sidney Cox, 57, died the day after being violently attacked at a house on Middleton Lane, Thorpe, on August 24. Yesterday morning two men, the teenager and a woman were arrested in the Doncaster area.

Det Chief Insp Jon Morgan, from West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services (Crime) said: “Three men aged 36, 34 and 16 were arrested on suspicion of murder and a 37-year-old female has been taken into custody on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. They all remain in police custody at the present time.”

Detectives have already charged five people with the murder of Mr Cox and a woman has been charged with money laundering.
