Murder hunt after body found in Bradford blaze

POLICE have launched a murder investigation after the discovery of a man’s body in Bradford.

Today detectives appealed for information on the killer’s possible motive.

Firefighters were called to a blaze at Rylestone Gardens at about 1.14pm yesterday and found the body of a 28-year-old man inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem was being conducted today to determine the cause of his death.

It is believed the man, who worked for a local takeaway, was the only person in the house at the time, and detectives are now comforting his relatives.

Det Supt Paul Taylor of West Yorkshire Police said: “We know where this happened and when it happened, we now need to know why it happened.

“The victim was a much loved husband and father was brutally attacked in his own home and I am appealing to the public of Bradford to provide the vital clues we need to understand why someone would do this.”

He added: “I would like to speak to friends, colleagues or anyone who may have known the victim to help us explain why this incident took place.

“Information from the public will prove crucial to this enquiry and anyone who knew the victim, or can help us understand why someone would want to take his life, should contact the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team One on the 101 number.
