Murder hunt after two women found dead at Yorkshire house

A MURDER investigation has been launched after two women were found dead at a house in South Yorkshire.

The women, who have not yet been identified, were discovered at the property in Sandygate, Wath-upon-Dearne, around 8pm yesterday.

A local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is said to be “assisting police with enquiries”.

An area of Sandygate was still cordoned off today while the investigation continues, with scenes of crime officers seen outside a bungalow in the area.

A post-mortem is expected to take place later today to establish the cause of death but no further details have been released.
