Murder inquiry launched after post mortem reveals man was stabbed in Scunthorpe

Humberside Police has confirmed it was that of 25 year-old Kyle Bell and that he died as a result of stab wounds.

Mr Bell was discovered on Mary Street in the early hours of Tuesday morning as officers responded to reports that another man had been assaulted.

A police spokesperson said: "The post mortem has confirmed that Mr Bell died of stab wounds and a murder investigation is underway. Specialist officers are working with the family.

Our teams are working hard to identify the person, or persons, responsible for this crime and are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry."
