Pair arrested after threatening staff and stealing scratchcards from newsagent

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after an incident at a newsagent in Batley

Police were called to Soothill Newsagents in Soothill Lane shortly before 8am this morning (Saturday).

Two people had threatened staff before stealing a number of lottery scratchcards.

No one was injured.

A man and woman were later arrested on suspicion of robbery, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed.
