Pickpockets stole 82-year-old's pension money in Huddersfield

THIEVES who picpocketed an 82-year-old man in a shop at Huddersfield Bus Station are being hunted by police.

The victim’s pension money was stolen in the incident, which happened just before 11am yesterday (Tuesday March 1) in a newsagent’s shop at the bus station

Police have released three CCTV images of a man and a woman they believe may have information in connection with the incident. (see pictures)

Police Constable Caroline Loran, of Huddersfield District Police, said: “This was a terrible incident where suspects stole money from an elderly pensioner which has been very distressing for him.

“If anyone has any information about this incident or noticed anything suspicious at the bus station on the day, please contact me via 101 quoting reference 13160091431 to assist with our enquiries.”
