Police appeal for witnesses to fatal Rotherham collision

DETECTIVES investigating a collision which caused the death of a 70-year-old woman are appealing for witnesses.

A blue Land Rover Discovery overturned in Ruddle Lane in the Micklebring area of Rotherham at about 2.45pm on Saturday February 6.

No other cars were involved in the incident.

The driver, a 48-year-old woman from Doncaster, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been discharged.

But her 70-year-old woman a passenger, who was also hospital following the incident, sadly died on Wednesday.

The woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

South Yorkshire Police are asking anyone with information to get in touch.
